Apple's Market Positioning Strategy

When you think of the best campaigns and advertisements in the market of technology in the past few years, chances are Apple would be in one of the top three in your mind. The way they display their products and deliver the advertisements - are phenomenal. 

Market positioning strategy identifies the decision of the market in which the firm plans to compete and the specific elements of the marketing mix that are designed to fulfill the respective needs of the market.

Apple has been successful in recent years for their imaginative way to do their business. They are known for their unique way of presenting with a great strategy, innovative marketing and for excellence in communicating with the general people.

In the past 10 years in the market, Apple has made its own position in the market and has now reached as a trillion dollar company.

They first came in the market saying their products are much simpler to use. They intentionally did their campaigns in simple formats.

Apple has always been showing that they are different. The text conversations can be carried within the iMessage, or the lightning charging port, or it can be the iOS software, everything Apple creates is different than the others. 


The slogan "Think Different" was created by Craig Tanimoto, an art director who contributed to the initial concept work.

Brand Benefit Positioning 

The advertising from Apple has always been special and really innovative. I cannot think of any other brand in the market who can portray such fine quality advertisements. 

They have a product for everyone, starting from cellphones they make tablets wireless AirPods, laptops and watches. 

Their ads showcase the product in a very product centric way - which is the best part. They have a very good marketing team.
