Magazine vs Blog


It has been a while since I have read a good old magazine. Back home, it is usually laying on the centre table of the living room. I do not really think I have purchased neither have I collected any sort of magazines in the past three years here in Canada. 


Talking about printed magazines and online blogs, I think reading printed magazines was a thing back in the early '90s and 2000s. I remember my mother showing me different catalogues or the jewellery in different magazines. 


The blog is the new way of how people pursue reading off different writers and a new way of gaining some knowledge. 




Magazines are the strongest advertising media vehicle? 

Magazines have a number of strengths in comparison to other media. Strengths of magazines from the textbook include a number of characteristics that make them attractive for advertisers. Strengths of magazines include their target audience selectivity, geographic coverage, control for selective exposure and attention, creativity for cognitive and emotional responses, amount of processing time and reader involvement, and media image.

Digital publications have such a wide audience that it almost makes more sense to go digital over print. Most people have digital e-readers and in this past year through electronic devices for the first time ever, as per the article at Designmodo website.
